We tried to install the DBI module using
command. However we ended up with the following error.
Question:
How do we force an install of these modules using the 'force' option to install the DBI package?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me how you install the following perl modules on debiab :
I tried with CPAN although when I ran
It was telling me I missing destination file operand.
Any idea?

Normally this is done without CPAN but with the Debian repositories. So
apt-get install libwww-perl libdbi-perl libdbd-mysql-perl libgd-gd2-perl
Then you are done and even get security patches.

When I want to install perl-DBD-MySQL on my CentOS 6.3 system,I get this error:
yum install perl-DBD-MySQL.x86_64
Using --skip-broken

What package should I install?

Any time you encounter the installation of a package that complains it 'requires' something, you should try and remember to use this command to determine what RPM package provides this file. In your case the message:
is supposed to be a hint. Granted, it's a little weak, but with this info you can run the following command to determine the package that contains this .so
library file:
which will give you the following:
NOTE: You'll likely get multiple hits, one for each version of this package that's in the yum repositories.
From this you now know which package provides the file, mysql-libs
. So just do this to install it:
This package looks to be part of the base installation and was available in the updates repo under CentOS 6.4.
As from your question it is not clear, which version of CentOS
you use and if it is MySQL
or MariaDB
packages for database you have, I will provide my solution, which works on CentOS 7
for MariaDB
.
I have installed MariaDB
engine from https://downloads.mariadb.org/mariadb/repositories/#mirror=kisiek&distro=CentOS&distro_release=centos7-amd64--centos7&version=10.1 and my dependency problem has gone.
As for any other platform, where you might experience similiar problem, try to choose your OS from: https://downloads.mariadb.org/mariadb/repositories/#mirror=kisiekIt didn't require any additional work after installing MariaDB
from their official repository.
But still, the question is not verbose enough to provide proper answer for your case - my answer may or may not be helpful for you.
You can fix your problem using the following command:
Perl Dbd Mysql Download

Please help me to install DBD::Pg? How to get path to pg_config?

Just ran into this issue, and on Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial the package you're looking for is:
Shoemaster creative software. Shoemaster is a world leading CAD/CAM system providing 2D and 3D. This innovative system reduces costs, improves quality and increases productivity.
On CentOS/RH you can fix it by installing perl-DBD-Pg package with yum
From the README:
INSTALLATION:
Before installing, please use the 'cpansign -v' program to cryptographically verify that your copy of DBD::Pg is complete and valid. The program 'cpansign' is part of Module::Signature, available from CPAN.
By default Makefile.PL uses App::Info to find the location of the PostgreSQL library and include directories. However, if you want to control it yourself, define the environment variables POSTGRES_INCLUDE and POSTGRES_LIB, or define just POSTGRES_HOME. Note that if you have compiled PostgreSQL with SSL support, you must define the POSTGRES_LIB environment variable and add '-lssl' and '-lcrypto' to it, like this:
export POSTGRES_LIB='/usr/local/pgsql/lib -lssl -lcrypto'
The usual steps to install DBD::Pg:
- perl Makefile.PL
- make
- make test
- make install
Do steps 1 to 2 as a normal user, not as root!
If the script cannot find the pg_config information itself, it will ask you for the path to it. Enter the complete path to the pg_config file here, including the name of the file itself.

If you want to use a module, read the documentation. Flash preloader tutorial.
Before installing perl module, you must install client for accessing Postgres DB. I just install server and header files:
Fedora 29, plenv, perl v5.18.0
Once I got plenv working, I was able to install DBD::Pg with cpanm using these commands:
